PDF Toolkit
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 3, 2026
App: PDF Toolkit Developer: appzone.ai Last updated: 3 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the PDF Toolkit mobile application ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
We built the App to need as little of your data as possible. The App does not require an account, and all PDF processing — scanning, merging, editing, compressing, converting, and form filling — happens on your device. Your documents are never uploaded to us or to any server.
1. Your documents and files
The PDFs, images, and scanned documents you open or create with the App are processed entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, view, or store the contents of your files.
- Files you open are read only to display or edit them.
- Files you create (merged, compressed, converted, or filled PDFs) are saved to
your device's app storage under
PDFToolkit/. - Nothing is sent to us. If you choose to share or print a result, it is handed to the app or printer you pick — that is entirely your action.
2. Device permissions
The App requests certain permissions only to provide specific features. It uses them locally and does not send the resulting data to us:
- Camera — used by the Scan to PDF feature to capture document images. The App only accesses the camera while you are actively scanning.
- Photos / Files / Storage — used so you can pick images and PDFs to work with, and save your results. The App accesses only the files you select.
You can review or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings. The App does not access your camera, photos, or files in the background.
3. Information collected by third‑party services
The App is free and supported by ads. To show ads it uses one third‑party service that may collect data:
Google AdMob (advertising)
We show ads through Google AdMob. The App requests non‑personalized ads, meaning ads are not based on your interests or an advertising profile. Even so, to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process limited information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device type, and operating system, together with general ad‑interaction data.
- Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- How Google uses data from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
The App does not use the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA) for tracking, so no App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown.
4. How information is used
Information collected by the service above is used to:
- Display and measure non‑personalized advertising (AdMob)
- Keep the App working reliably and prevent ad fraud
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not build advertising or marketing profiles about you.
5. Your choices
- Reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising
- Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads
- Manage app permissions (camera, photos, files) at any time in your device settings.
- Delete your data: Remove any files you created from your device, or uninstall the App to remove its locally stored data.
6. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us and we will address it.
7. Data retention
We do not store your personal data or documents on our own servers. Files you create remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Data held by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's own policies.
8. Security
Because your documents stay on your device, they are protected by your device's own security. For advertising we rely on the security measures of Google AdMob. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, but these providers maintain industry‑standard protections.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
